Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all users of Caprica Agent services, including the Pilot, Pro, Premium, and Enterprise tiers. It defines what constitutes acceptable and prohibited use of the platform to ensure a safe, fair, and reliable experience for everyone.

2. Permitted Use

Caprica Agent is designed for professional and business use cases. Permitted activities include, but are not limited to:

Business document analysis and summarization
Internal knowledge search across your uploaded documents
Report summarization and key insight extraction
Compliance document review and interpretation
Team knowledge sharing and collaboration

3. Prohibited Use

The following activities are strictly prohibited when using Caprica Agent:

Illegal content or activities — Generating content that is illegal or using the service to facilitate illegal activities in any jurisdiction
Discrimination and harassment — Engaging in hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or intimidation of any kind
Fraudulent documents — Creating fraudulent, deceptive, or intentionally misleading documents
Privacy violations — Violating the privacy of third parties, including stalking, doxing, or unauthorized surveillance
Malware and exploits — Generating malware, exploit code, hacking tools, or any software designed to cause harm
Jailbreaking and prompt injection — Attempting to jailbreak the AI, bypass safety filters, or perform prompt injection attacks
Unauthorized documents — Processing documents you do not have the legal rights to access, use, or distribute
Reverse engineering — Using the service to compete with or reverse-engineer Caprica or its underlying technology
System abuse — Excessive automated use intended to overload, degrade, or disrupt the system

4. Fair Use Policy

Caprica Agent operates on a fair use model to ensure consistent quality and availability for all customers. Monthly query limits apply per tier:

Pilot — 500 queries per month
Pro — 5,000 queries per month
Premium — 10,000 queries per month
Enterprise — Custom limits based on agreement

Admin users can perform one manual refresh per month if the query limit is reached before the billing cycle ends. Limits reset automatically on the 1st of each month. If your team consistently exceeds the allocated limits, we will work with you to find the right plan.

5. Monitoring & Enforcement

To maintain the integrity and security of the platform:

All interactions are logged in a tamper-evident audit trail stored on the infrastructure where your Caprica Agent instance runs (your own server for Pro, or our managed server for Premium)
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, with or without prior notice
Serious violations involving illegal activity will be reported to the relevant authorities
No refund will be issued for accounts suspended due to policy violations

6. Our Responsibilities

We take a layered approach to safety and responsible AI use:

First layer — AI providers (Claude, GPT, Gemini) have their own built-in safety filters that prevent harmful outputs at the model level
Second layer — Caprica adds PII detection, prompt injection blocking, and comprehensive audit logging as additional safeguards
User responsibility — Despite these safeguards, AI can make mistakes. Users must always verify AI-generated outputs before acting on them

7. Changes

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Continued use of Caprica Agent after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
